Eligibility Requirements for Maryland Patients

In Maryland, residents with a physician’s recommendation for medical cannabis to treat qualifying conditions can register as patients with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC). Non-Maryland residents receiving medical treatment in the state are also eligible for registration. Registered patients can identify up to two caregivers, aged 21 or older, who must register with the MMCC and can purchase and transport medical cannabis on the patients’ behalf. Minor patients must have at least one caregiver, who must be a parent or legal guardian.
